Wow what can I say other than I’ll get to the coffee later. Firstly I have to get this out there; these guys do the best… THE BEST… bacon and egg on Turkish in Sydney. If I am not having breakfast here at least one day a weekend then I am in hospital sufferring from the arterie clogging joy that is the Made in Stanmore breakfast.
My wife usually goes for a fancier avocado, pesto… whatevr variant but I am a traditionalist. Superb!
Now to the cafe. The place is run by Peter and Kerry Adair, a really nice pair of people who donate all the tips to sponsoring 3rd world children. In fact the little photos of the kids are pasted onto the counter. Think european deli meets your grand-ma’s house meets inner west cool. I love this place. The coffees are very good, consistantly good, and the service is great. It’s the kind of place that you walk into an instantly feel comfortable.
The place is kind of subdued and homely and is an absokute treat to live near.
They have just recently started opening in the evenings for dinner so make a trip down there for a bite, a great coffee and some awesome ambiance.
