Bondi Tratt
34 Campbell Parade, Bondi Beach
NSW, Australia
A good friend of mine used to work here for years. On and off she would leave to find a better place to work, and invariably come back realising that a lot of what she was searching for elsewhere was already at the Tratt. You see the Tratt is a bit of an institution. Perched at the southern end of arguably one of the worlds most famous beaches it is loved by locals through the week and crowded with suburbanites on weekends.
You can grab breakfast until 1pm. The food is super yummy and healthy options abound. Pancakes with blueberry compote, organic bread and couscous with poached fruits… even bacon and eggs. Other food is the usual nuveau Australian, Italian inspired, cuisine. All well made and presented, and they have a decent wine list to go with it.
Wifi? Who gives a damn when you have a view over the main drag and the beach? If you’re visiting and want to catch an awesome sunset but are famished or want to grab a coffee, the Tratt will even provide blankets for those sitting outside. All very cozy and Eastern Suburbs. The coffee isn’t half bad at all. The cremas and froth are poured to the high standard of the area and the coffee is made well. I can’t remember which brand they use, but I suspect it is one of the generics… nonetheless it’s all done nicely.
The service is always good, the food and coffee lovely, the patrons mixed and beautiful, and the view to die for. Go there.
